Dran French artist Dran works in sculpture, installation and drawing and painting. With six published art books under his belt, including Je t’aime, 100 Jours and La Television, he’s becoming increasingly well known in his native France for his illustrative artwork and murals and is being feted in the UK as one of the most exciting emerging street artists this century. “I’m not a street artist, but I know one,” he says, before going on to explain his belief that creating art of any kind is much more than a day job. “There’s no Sunday, no blank day, it’s not work; it’s an everyday life,” he insists. Tellingly, this is also the title of one of his most recent exhibitions, held in the temporary space that also houses Banksy’s annual Marks and Stencils pop-up this year.
